    • Pat, the first I ever saw were in Windsor, Ontario. They never used to be out here and I don’t know how they got here, but there’s lots of them now!

    In the USA they were brought to the Stanford University campus as pets by students from points east. They do not look sleek and fat like this one. They are pretty scruffy. Now they just live on campus. Maybe in time they will colonize outside of Stanford but the local golden squirrels are numerous and aggressive dominating both trees and grounds.
