Cheeky
Here’s a cheeky young Stellar’s Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) trying it’s hardest to figure out how to get the peanuts out of the holder. One of it’s parents brought it over and introducted it to the ring feeder. It finally got a peanut and few off happy!
It’s good to see the parents introducing their young to the feeders. He is a handsome young fella.

Ruth, thank you! One of his parents was sitting on our deck rail, squawking this morning! It was very obvious why he was there!

Karen, yes indeed! It’s learned to come up and squawk and we’ll feed it! I think it teaching us!
