Rufous
A pretty female Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) checking out the bud of a Crocosmia flower. I’ve noticed that the bird punctures the bud to get it’s bill right inside the flower.

Ruth, thank you very much! I appreciate your comments! Think I’d coming around the corner! Will be much better if we get the rain we are forecast on the weekend. And I hope it washes some of the heat and all of the smoke away!
