Nature Through My Lens

An Immature male Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus) flew in a couple of days ago. He is still looking quite confused as to what he’s supposed to do. Usually when he flies in, the little bird fly away and leave him to guess at his next move. He’ll soon catch on!

He is at the right place to get the food. He’ll have it figured out soon. I have the same kind of feeder.

    • Ruth, thank you! I don’t think he’s been going hungry. But it must be so overwhelming for them! They are a nice feeder. I like that the birds will go right inside! Oh my, all that food all around me! Theresa in Texas had the same one too!

  2. Lucky Grosbeak, somewhere to put her/him feet at the evening, and somewhere to feed, lovely.
