Eye To Eye


Today we had another visit from the Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus) Today it came in close and sat on the perch for our feeders. No free lunch today!

    • Vicki, thank you! It was a bit of a shock when we watched it take a small bird! But that’s the way of nature!

      • Vicki, Yeah, there’s cats here too! Sure wish the people would obey the laws and not let them run wild. Millions, yes, Millions of birds are lost every year because of Cats! Sorry, I am not a fan!

        I do like cats but indoor cats, I wish people would keep them inside.

    I hate the thought of a bird this beautiful, catching and eating other birds. I know it’s the way of nature, but I don’t have to like it. Beautiful capture.
