At Home in the Snow
Well, I don’t know if they are at home with it, but they don’t seem to mind it. This White-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia leucophrys) and several like him were busy at the feeders in our yard.

I often wonder, just how those things and feet don’t get frozen in the snow.Yes,I know, they are designed to live that way.Lovely picture.

Ruth, Thank you! I read somewhere that they have no nerves in their feet so don’t feel the cold, but I’m not sure about that!
