Nature Through My Lens

In the Maple

IMG_5918.jpg

Early this morning a bunch of birds were perched in the branches of our Japanese Maple in our front yard. Here’s one of them, a Golden-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia atricapilla) This bird is a westerner. It ranges from Alaska to Baja. This one is considered a first winter bird.  It’s also all puffed up due to the fact that the temperature was Minus 4 C.
