An American Coot ( Fulica americana) scratching around in the undergrowth at the edge of Mill Lake. The size of the Coots feet always amazes me!

    I find the way in which their toes are individually webbed (probably not the technical term) to be interesting, compared to a duck with the gaps filled in.
