It seems our Hummers have been absent for a little while. Maybe off having babies! But, they are back and I’m happy to see them. This is a female Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna)
I hadn’t seen my Hummers for a week or so, but they both showed up today. This is the male Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) flashing his colours!
Here’s a new boy to the neighbourhood. The weather has been mild so he may be checking out other yards, as they stay pretty close to their feeders this time of the year. He’s a rather stern looking Anna’s Hummingbird male, (Calypte anna) and he’s perched on a Rose of Sharon Bush.
Here’s my fearless male Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna). He’s braved the wind and rain and snow and ice and is still with us.
Here’s my little friend the Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) sitting on the Icicles in our garden. Brave little fellow for Dec. 31!
To all my friends and everyone else, my Hummer friend and I wish you the Very Best of the Season!
Here’s our little Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) sitting on her favourite winter perch. Close by to the feeders. She looked very pretty today as the sky was a bit lighter and no rain!
