Here’s another shot of our old friend Scruffy the Stellar’s Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) It was in fine form today!  Just raring for peanuts.  It puts up quite a fuss when ignored!


A Glint in His Eye

A pretty male House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) drops by for a drink at the bird bath. Often overlooked and distained, the House Sparrow is a beautiful little bird with wonderful markings.


Scruffy

This is a Stellar’s Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) that we have nicknamed Scruffy, living up to his name!


Mother & Son

A female Hairy Woodpecker (Picoides villosus) and her fledgling son come into the Suet feeder for supper. She was really loading him up!  The Mother is the one on the left!
