A Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) looking pretty in the sun
Here’s another Costco Parking lot bird. This rather angry looking guy is a Brewer’s Blackbird (Euphagus cyanocephalus.) What a handle he has! I didn’t realize how much stuff was left by people until I got down to his level!!
The cars zoom in and the cars zoom out. People walk by underneath, close. None of this family of Brewer’s Blackbirds (Euphagus cyanocephalus) seem to care at all. In the parking lot of Costco in Abbotsford there are a number of these trees. Almost each has some birds in it! Must be an old habitat for them!

Here’s a Yellow-headed Blackbird. A close cousin to yesterdays post.
He likes to think he’s hiding in the BullRushes. Pretty hard to hide with bright feathers like that to give one away!

I have been trying for a number of years to get a half decent photo of the Yellow-headed Blackbird, without much success. This year they were plentiful and I got some decent shots!
