Stink Eye

This male House Finch (Carpodacus mexicanus) sitting in a tangle of branches seems to be giving me the stink eye! Don’t blame him, I’d be miserable sitting out in the pouring rain too!

A pair of American Goldfinch males, Spinus tristis, on the Niger Feeder. The whole yard was in shadow with the sun going down except for a beam of light, highlighting these two birds! It was quite amazing!
