A Glint in His Eye

A pretty male House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) drops by for a drink at the bird bath. Often overlooked and distained, the House Sparrow is a beautiful little bird with wonderful markings.

A fledgling House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) poses for it’s headshot!

What does a little bird think when it’s sitting wet and cold on the first day of it’s life when it’s rained! I think this little House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) expression says it all!

Two House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) fleglings have developed a taste for Millet. Seems that what one did the other followed!

The Family Sparrow

Here are four little House Sparrow fledglings! (Passer domesticus). Their Dad introduced them to the suet feeder the other day. Since then they have been regular customers! Where one goes the all go!

Tuckered Out

A female fledgling House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) has had a busy day. Just new to this world she’s learning how to get around. But, all the activicty has worn her out and she has a little rest in a Hawthorne bush. That big thorn will definitely stop her from tipping to the right!

I See You

Try as I may, I could not get this little girl to look at me full on. I would just about get her and she would duck behind a branch. I finally got a shot of her, but thought this was was cute.

I See You

This juvenile House Sparrow has a quick look my way before having a drink at the bird bath.
During this hot hot weather, don’t forget the birdies need water too. There’s not much free standing water out there right now.

House Sparrow

This pretty little lady was poking around under a bird feeder. The hens colours are a lot more subtle than the males. Good for hiding!

House Sparrows House Hunting

This pair of House Sparrows are out house hunting. It looks like they may have decided on this one bedroom, no bath, flie up.
