A Golden-crowned Sparrow in the snow. It could quite possibly be the first time this bird has ever seen snow. Lots of other creatures on the west coast are facing a similar situation, as their driving skills will attest!
A Song Sparrow. A curious Song Sparrow. As I walked down the fence line, this little bird flitted ahead of me and waited while I caught up, then flitted to the next fence post. I took a photo every time it stopped!
