Here’s a cute little brown job, this one a Golden-crowned Sparrow keeping warm on a cold winter day.

What’s This

IMG_3092.jpg

A Golden-crowned Sparrow in the snow.  It could quite possibly be the first time this bird has ever seen snow.  Lots of other creatures on the west coast are facing a similar situation, as their driving skills will attest!

Sing for Me

songsparrow.jpg

A Song Sparrow.  A curious Song Sparrow.  As I walked down the fence line, this little bird flitted ahead of me and waited while I caught up, then flitted to the next fence post.  I took a photo every time it stopped!

A Stretch

A Golden-crowned Sparrow just about to make a hasty retreat.

I like it’s stance, stretched over two branches!

Peek-a-boo

Me & my friends meet here, every evening as the sun goes down.  They are great friends cause they’re always here when I need them!

Innocence

Here’s a pretty little House Sparrow.  One of my favourites from a couple of years ago.  She strikes me as being so sweet and innocent.

Song Sparrow

Along a winding trail, this Song Sparrow takes advantage of the seed someone left on a viewing bench.

White Crowned Sparrow

This litte White Crowned Sparrow drop by for a snack. They are such pretty little things. Interesting fact: these kind of Sparrows have an estimated life span of 13 years! Incredible.
