An American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis) perches on a branch of the Rose of Sharon bush. It was quite windy today and I think the birds were feeling the cold.

A pair of American Goldfinch males, Spinus tristis, on the Niger Feeder. The whole yard was in shadow with the sun going down except for a beam of light, highlighting these two birds! It was quite amazing!
