A Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapilla) perches in the bushes with a Sunflower seed between it’s feet. It then pecked the seed open to get to the good stuff inside!
One of our local flock of Chickadees. We have a half dozen or so that stay with us all year! They love Sunflower seeds and are forever flitting to the feeder, grabbing and seed and going to a branch like this to peck the seed open and eat it!

Here’s my little Chickadee friend. Today it’s got the sunflower seed clasped between it’s feed! There it can peck away at the seed and get to the good stuff inside!
A Black-capped Chickadee deep in the Butterfly bush in our garden. It has a single sunflower seed which it picked up from our feeder. It then went back into this bush to crack it open and eat the inside.
