A pretty little Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapilla) perched in their favourite bush, the Rose of Sharon Bush. We have around 5 of these guys in the yard at any given time. There was a family raised in one of our Bird Houses this summer. They are real fun to have around!
Actually this pretty Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapilla) is drinking out of a cup on our rain chain. It seems to like the privacy of this small cup!

A Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapilla) perches in the bushes with a Sunflower seed between it’s feet. It then pecked the seed open to get to the good stuff inside!
One of our local flock of Chickadees. We have a half dozen or so that stay with us all year! They love Sunflower seeds and are forever flitting to the feeder, grabbing and seed and going to a branch like this to peck the seed open and eat it!
