Black Head

A Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus)

An Immature male Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus) flew in a couple of days ago. He is still looking quite confused as to what he’s supposed to do. Usually when he flies in, the little bird fly away and leave him to guess at his next move. He’ll soon catch on!

In For Millet

A Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus) drops into our yard from a nearby Cedar tree to enjoy the Millet that we put out for the birds. He’s a very handsome fellow!

As promised, here is the male of the species to yesterdays post. The Black-headed Grosbeak (Pheucticus melanocephalus.) They are quite shy and will take flight at any noise.

The Beautiful Mrs. G.

We have had a pair of Black-headed Grosbeaks (Pheucticus melanocephalus) in our backyard area for the past number of years. This week they returned and I’m happy to see them.
