A female Anna’s Hummingbird (Calypte anna) at one of our feeders. The Hummers were quite active today. Don’t know if it’s because of the final passing of our last storm or a forerunner to our next storm coming in!
The Pine Siskins (Spinus pinus) are enjoying our two tray feeders with Niger seed in them. They pack onto the edges. Inveriably as with Finches there is lots of chattering and the odd you show me yours and I’ll show you mine!
A Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) looking bright and shiny in his Spring Colours. Presious jewels in our natural world
Here’s our Dove visitors again! I think they are so pretty. Love to show them.
Here’s a shy little Chestnut-backed Chickadee at it’s favourite feeder.
A pretty little Black-headed Grosbeak immature male, checks out the action at the feeder. We have had quite a brood of these lovely birds this year. Mum & Dad were definitely busy!
A House Finch hen on one of our feeders. I thought his was a great backdrop. The bird feeder was there before the flower, which is a Rose of Sharon.
A lovely House Finch hen, waiting her turn at the feeder in our back yard. The feeder has been quite busy these days, with lots of fledglings about. Such pretty little things.
An Anna’s Hummer. He looks like he’s staying for the winter.
We have moved the feeder under the deck where it’s sheltered and out of the weather. They seem to like this!
A Chipping Sparrow
Pigeons at a bird feeder.
Not sure whether they are lovey dovey or having a bit of a spat over space!
