Here’s me getting busted by this lovely female Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus) sitting on the fence with the SalmonBerry Bush. I haven’t seen her this season, but she showed up today and I’m happy! So will her mate I guess!
The local Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus) likes to come into our yard, and sit on the old bench for awhile. Meantime, scaring the bejammers out of all the little birds!
This spot on the fence is proving to be a nice location for a portrait. The other day it was a Flicker. Just after it left, this Stellar’s Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) dropped in to see what was going on!
Here are four little House Sparrow fledglings! (Passer domesticus). Their Dad introduced them to the suet feeder the other day. Since then they have been regular customers! Where one goes the all go!
A pair of Wood Ducks. The hen on the right isn’t as flamboyant as her mate, but she’s very pretty in her own right! Here they sit on a fence. Nearby is a feeder and they are waiting their turn!
