Love is in the Air

A pair of Eurasian Collared Doves (Streptopelia decaocto) in the neighbours Cherry tree.

Here’s an American Goldfinch.  Breeding colours have faded as summer progresses.

Anna’s at Dusk

Little Visitor

I went out this afternoon to specifically get a few shots of our first Gladiola of the year.  While doing the this Chickadee came over to see what I was up to!  They are very curious about anything that goes on in the garden.

Hummer & Lucifer Two

Here’s another shot of the Hummer and the Lucifer.  I am completely enamoured with both the bird and the flower.

Great Backdrop

A House Finch hen on one of our feeders.  I thought his was a great backdrop.  The bird feeder was there before the flower, which is a Rose of Sharon.

Stopping to Smell the Flowers

This very brightly coloured White-crowned Sparrow seems to stop to enjoy the flowers.

A Bee
