The other day, we bought a new feeder. It is proving to be very popular with the birds and has be very busy. Here a pair of male House Finches (Carpodacus mexicanus). The one on the left is the normal colour and the one on the right is an Orange morph.


Out in the Rain

A pretty orange morph female House Finch (Carpodacus mexicanus) perches in a Japanese Maple in the rain.


On the Orange Side

An orange morph of a male House Finch (Haemorpous mexicanus). The House Finch can vary in colour from yellow through red to orange.
