Here it is. The first camera packing birdie. Trying for a good shot! In actual fact, a Dark-eyed Junco landing on the saucer feeder while the Pine Siskin throws up it’s wings in protest of the visitor.


Mine, Mine!

The Pine Siskins (Spinus pinus) are enjoying our two tray feeders with Niger seed in them. They pack onto the edges. Inveriably as with Finches there is lots of chattering and the odd you show me yours and I’ll show you mine!

A Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) in a small tray feeder my wife has loaded with Niger Seed. These guys love it along with the Goldfinches! The blue background is thanks to the neigbours blue playhouse for his daughter!

Here’s another LBJ (little brown job) all puffed up against the cold wet weather.  This time a Pine Siskin, looks quite displeased with the whole issue.  Never mind, it’s getting warmer later this week!
