All Fluffed

A Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) all puffed up sitting on the edge of the birdbath.

Hold that Pose

Here it is. The first camera packing birdie. Trying for a good shot! In actual fact, a Dark-eyed Junco landing on the saucer feeder while the Pine Siskin throws up it’s wings in protest of the visitor.

Mine, Mine!

The Pine Siskins (Spinus pinus) are enjoying our two tray feeders with Niger seed in them. They pack onto the edges. Inveriably as with Finches there is lots of chattering and the odd you show me yours and I’ll show you mine!

A pretty little Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) contemplating a drink of water from the bird bath.

A Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) in a small tray feeder my wife has loaded with Niger Seed. These guys love it along with the Goldfinches! The blue background is thanks to the neigbours blue playhouse for his daughter!

Sad in the Rain

Here’s another LBJ (little brown job) all puffed up against the cold wet weather.  This time a Pine Siskin, looks quite displeased with the whole issue.  Never mind, it’s getting warmer later this week!

A pair of bashful Pine Siskin’s  in a Cedar tree.

Bath Time

The Pine Siskins gather at the bird bath for a quick splash!
