The local Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus) likes to come into our yard, and sit on the old bench for awhile. Meantime, scaring the bejammers out of all the little birds!
Here’s my buddy, the Sharp-shinned Hawk (Accipiter striatus). It almost got lucky this lunchtime, but went away empty taloned! It’s nothing if not determined!

A Sharp-shinned Hawk, dropped in at lunchtime and thankfully scared all the little birds away. I’m happy to see it but don’t want it using our feeders as a buffet! No luck this time buddy!

Here’s my friend the Sharp-shinned Hawk. It dropped by for lunch, but went hungary as all the other birds made a speedy exit when it appeared! Who can blame them, they didn’t want to end up on the Menu!

Here’s the culprit. Always chasing all my little birds away. But, they disappear until this Sharp-shinned Hawk moves on. I don’t mind, because I really like the raptors too!
