Against the Cold

This pretty little Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) is sitting on a shephards hook in our garden. It’s all puffed up against the cold. Letting those feathers do there job, keeping it warm!

Mine, Mine!

The Pine Siskins (Spinus pinus) are enjoying our two tray feeders with Niger seed in them. They pack onto the edges. Inveriably as with Finches there is lots of chattering and the odd you show me yours and I’ll show you mine!

A Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus) in a small tray feeder my wife has loaded with Niger Seed. These guys love it along with the Goldfinches! The blue background is thanks to the neigbours blue playhouse for his daughter!

Deep in Thought

Sad in the Rain

Here’s another LBJ (little brown job) all puffed up against the cold wet weather. ┬áThis time a Pine Siskin, looks quite displeased with the whole issue. ┬áNever mind, it’s getting warmer later this week!
